How prayer times are calculated in Türkiye
Prayer times across Turkey are computed according to the standards established by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı). The calculation fixes Fajr when the sun reaches 18° below the eastern horizon and Isha when it drops to 17° below the western horizon. Asr is determined using the standard jurisprudence rule where an object’s shadow equals its height plus noon length.
The whole country uses one time zone, and every city page shows its local time. On this platform, accurate schedules are provided for 112 Turkish cities, including major metropolitan areas such as Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, İzmir, and Gaziantep. Every city timetable reflects its exact geographic coordinates, ensuring precise local calculation timings from Thrace to Eastern Anatolia.
