How prayer times are calculated in Syria
Prayer times across Syria are calculated according to the Muslim World League method. The standard establishes Fajr when the sun is 18° below the eastern horizon, while Isha begins at a solar angle of 17° below the western horizon. Asr is determined using the standard jurisprudential rule, defined when an object’s shadow reaches its height plus the shadow at noon.
