How prayer times are calculated in France
Prayer times in France are calculated in accordance with the standards of the Great Mosque of Paris (Mosquée de Paris). This method sets Fajr when the sun is 18° below the eastern horizon and Isha when the sun reaches 18° below the western horizon. Asr is determined using the standard jurisprudence rule where an object’s shadow equals its height plus noon shadow length.
The whole country uses one time zone, and every city page shows its local time. Our directory includes 9 major French cities, notably Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, and Nice. Each municipal page calculates authentic prayer schedules and exact Qibla bearings tailored directly to its local geographical coordinates.
