How prayer times are calculated in Egypt

In Egypt, prayer schedules are computed following the Egyptian General Authority of Survey. The survey parameters set Fajr at a solar depression angle of 19.5° below the eastern horizon, while Isha begins at an angle of 17.5° below the western horizon. Asr is determined using the standard rule (shadow length equal to object height plus noon shadow).

The whole country uses one time zone, and every city page shows its local time. Our database includes 72 Egyptian cities, covering major population centers such as Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Shubra al-Khaymah, and Port Said. Each city page uses its local latitude and longitude to generate authentic prayer times and accurate Qibla bearings.
