How prayer times are calculated in Bangladesh
Prayer times in Bangladesh are calculated in alignment with the University of Islamic Sciences in Karachi method, widely embraced across the South Asian region. Fajr begins when the sun is 18° below the horizon at dawn, and Isha begins at an 18° solar angle after twilight ends. Asr prayer is calculated via the standard rule, defined when an object’s shadow reaches its height plus the shadow at noon.
The entire country uses one time zone, and every city page shows its local time. This site features comprehensive prayer schedules for 54 Bangladeshi cities, prominently including Dhaka, Chittagong, Gazipur, Khulna, and Rangpur. Every local page renders exact daily prayer timings and Kaaba bearings derived from local coordinates.
