How prayer times are calculated in Afghanistan
Prayer times in Afghanistan are calculated using the University of Islamic Sciences in Karachi method, widely accepted across Central and South Asia. The parameters establish Fajr when the sun is 18° below the eastern horizon and Isha when the sun drops 18° below the western horizon. Asr prayer is computed following the standard rule (shadow length equal to object height plus noon shadow).
The nation observes a single uniform time zone across all provinces, and each city page shows its local time. Our site provides verified daily and monthly schedules for 11 Afghan cities, including Kabul, Herat, Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahar, and Jalalabad. Each locality uses its geographical coordinates to ensure dependable prayer times and accurate Qibla directions.
